What Do We Do Here?

What !    with Boating, Yachting, the Barrier Reef Islands a short 23 miles away, good Fishing, Mud Crabbing, Diving, Swimming and Surfing, it's a hard life.

The area is surrounded by National Parks and some of the best beaches still require a 4 wheel drive to get to.

The area promotes itself as the Discovery Coast and The birth place of Queensland, because of it's relationship with Captain James Cook in 1770.

The beaches around Agnes Water have to be seen to be believed, from the small secluded coves and inlets to the broad expanse of Bustard Bay and the Agnes beach it's self all with clean white sand and rocky headlands.

Agnes Water Township
Is a small Queensland coastal town in a predominately natural environment,  Tight controls on development have enabled it to remain a quiet tourist destination which has attracted a growing population of those looking to get away from the big smoke.

Round Hill
as the area is also known is situated exactly half way between Bundaberg in the south and Gladstone in the north about 120 klm by road from each.

Development
Although the area is growing at a steady rate the development is very low key.
We now have two small Shopping Centers, a Primary School, Caravan Parks, Camping Grounds, Motel a Tavern and a Petrol Station.

Climate
We are situated on the boundary of South East Queensland and Central Queensland in a sub tropical region. This makes for very pleasant conditions most of the year with temperatures usually no hotter than 30 degrees in the summer and around 23 degrees in the winter. Our rainfall is on average between 50-60 inches per year although we have not reached this for some time.
